Habitat:Population discovered by Mark Widrlechner. Mounding form. Abundant along road to Barrel-and-a-Half Lake in old-field/prairie planting, forming monoculture in spots. Associated species: Achillea millefolium, Andropogon gerardii, Asclepias tuberosa, Barbarea vulgaris, Elaeagnus umbellata, Hypericum perforatum, Lonicera maackii, Melilotus sp., Monarda fistulosa, Poa pratensis, Ratibida pinnata, Rosa multiflora, Schedonorus arundinaceus, Silphium integrifolium, Solidago canadensis var. hargeri, Sorghastrum nutans, Vitis vulpina.
